These are some of my favorite quotes ever. Gandhi had such wisdom way beyond his time. I think a lot can be learned from these quotes, they are very enlightening! Enjoy:

1- Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.

2- Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.

3- The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.

4- Whatever you do will be insignificant, but it is very important that you do it.

5- You must be the change you want to see in the world.

6- You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty.

7- An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.

8- Nobody can hurt me without my permission.

9- Whenever you are confronted with an opponent. Conquer him with love.

10- God has no religion.

11- Earth provides enough to satisfy every man’s need, but not every man’s greed.

12- You can chain me, you can torture me, you can even destroy this body, but you will never imprison my mind.

13- Men often become what they believe themselves to be. If I believe I cannot do something, it makes me incapable of doing it. But when I believe I can, then I acquire the ability to do it even if I didn’t have it in the beginning.

14- An error does not become truth by reason of multiplied propagation, nor does truth become error because nobody sees it.

15- You may never know what results come of your action, but if you do nothing there will be no result.

16- The only tyrant I accept in this world is the still voice within.

17- There is more to life than simply increasing its speed.

18- Suffering cheerfully endured, ceases to be suffering and is transmuted into an ineffable joy.

19- Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.

20- To believe in something, and not to live it, is dishonest.

    Fredric,

Great post. Mahatma Gandhi is my soul mentor. While growing up in India before I moved to the states, I’ve studied a great deal about his life and I’m obviously his staunch follower. You have a great blog. I’ve subscribed. Please visit mine when time permits. :)

    Frederic,

Thanks for the 20 Quotes from Mahatma Gandhi. He is a very important hero to me for all he did and for all he walked to spread his message.

My personal favorite is Number 5, the one I repeat to people who ask why but do not do.

    Walk in Quiet Places
