Try Something New For 30 Days
Is there something you’ve always meant to do, wanted to do, but just … haven’t? Matt Cutts suggests: Try it for 30 days. This short, lighthearted talk offers a neat way to think about setting and achieving goals. It’s a really interesting concept, what would YOU try for 30 days?

This was so motivational. I just started to do this myself and am actually considering the 50,000 word novel in 30 day challenge. How cool would that be?
Thanks!
I wish more people would write sites like this that are actually helpful to read. With all the crap floating around on the internet, it is refreshing to read a site like yours instead.
Hey, this is nice. I like the video too. The best part about this type of stuff is that it simplifies everything for you so change doesn’t seem so drastic. Good post. I love this website and I just found it but I’m going to read more.

This was very inspiring, I might even try the 30 day novel… Next year.
Great video!
The lesson in this video: it takes 30 days to change a bad habit in to a new one!
I will try to get some new and healthy habits!
When I saw the title I thought, oops, never going to make 30 days with my attention span. But then watching the video and listening to what he said about actually remembering each day instead of it just going by in a blur has inspired me to at least try!
Its very uplifting, I’ll take one step at a time there are lots of things I want to do and upon watching this video It pushes me even more to do it. Small changes as long as sustainable
Great blog and really great video! It reminds me that we can do anything by just taking one step at a time in the right direction toward the goal…and not stopping until we get there:)
thanks for this post! i’m actually doing my own 30 day challenge right now and this gave me new energy =)
Great advice. I’ve recently decided to focus on my blog more for 30 days. It’s going well. In general doing something new can start new positive habits. As for me, I’ve had a lot to overcome. I was the child victim of a cult. I wrote a book about my experience. “A Train Called Forgiveness” Keep sharing your motivational thoughts.
Sure, why not.
I’ll say something positive to a person everyday for the next 30 days.
Who knows, maybe I’ll even continue on for longer.
Have a nice day,
God bless
Those TED talks are really a great source for inspiration – thanks for posting this one. I think the secret to to making new habits is to start with small steps.
But I do believe the secret is to pick something concrete that must been done everyday. I was thinking of picking “going to the gym”, but I don’t want to go to the gym everyday and somehow the novelty of this project changes when I say: “I will go to the gym…every 3 days”. I can only speak for myself, when I started this it was vital to pick a task I could do everyday (take a picture, do 50 pushups, and perhaps oneday write a novel
)
